Uyghur province, more commonly known as Xinjiang (literally means "new frontier" in mandarin) province of China is one of the most repressed regions in China.
We all hear about Tibet and their struggle for independence from China but little is talked/heard or even known about Uyghur province, which is pre-dominantly a Muslim province.
Tibet has an ambassador in Dalai Lama and his high profile following in the west but this province does not get the attention & the voice it so desperately needs to get out.
Fortunately, I came across this wonderful documentary on the conditions in the province.
A very interesting and most informative piece of work. A must watch!
